Marquette––Adam David Dauphinais,
29, of 1962 Norwood Street, Marquette, entered eternal life
Sunday morning, April 6, 2008, peacefully in his sleep.
Adam was born June 24, 1978, in Marquette, a son of Gerald
and Cynthia (Lawrence) Dauphinais, and was a lifelong Marquette
resident. Following graduation, Adam was employed with Smith
Paving, Earl’s Carpet Shop, A. Lindberg & Sons
and most recently working as a laborer for Associated Construction.
Adam was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his spare time
he loved snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and most of all enjoyed
the mud drags.
Surviving are his parents; Gerald and Cynthia Dauphinais
of Marquette; his sister, Aimee Dauphinais of Marquette;
his two daughters, Elizabeth VanBuren of Ishpeming, and
Taylor Dauphinais of Gwinn; two sons, Ryan Dauphinais of
Gwinn, and Bodenn Denzel of Ishpeming; his girlfriend, Tammy
Valima of Marquette; his ex-wife, Michelle Swanson of Gwinn;
two nephews, Brodie Dagenais and Dylan Dauphinais both of
Marquette; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Christopher
Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 9, beginning at 4:00
pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St.
Christopher Catholic Church on Wednesday at 6:00 pm with
Rev. Jeff Johnson as celebrant. Pallbearers will be Jeff
Bigger, Layne Starrine, Todd Reynolds, Greg Ogea, Bill LaBelle,
Richard (Finn) Hawes, Michael Meyers, and Jeff Diedrich.
A reception for family and friends will follow in the church
fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial considerations
may be directed to Adam’s family to establish a fund
for the future needs of his children.
