Ishpeming––Marion Jean (Anderson)
Sanville, 65, formerly of 713 Vine Street, Ishpeming, entered
eternal life Wednesday morning, March 19, 2008, at the Mather
Nursing Center in Ishpeming.
Born June 24, 1942, in Manistique, a daughter of York Adolf
and Edith Mae (Smith) Anderson Sr, Marion was raised in
Manistique and was a 1962 graduate of the Manistique High
School. Following graduation, she remained in Manistique
and worked for a time at a dry cleaning establishment and
then as a waitress at the Liberty Cafe. On April 16, 1963,
she married Charles M. Sanville in Escanaba and together
the couple established their home and raised a family in
Munising. Charles was a self-employed logger and Marion
served as bookkeeper for the business. A homemaker, Marion
was also employed at the Munising Bakery as a baker and
at the Tendercare Nursing Center as a night manager.
Survivors include her daughter, Lorraine (Kevin) Parker
of Ishpeming; two sons, Charles (Cheryl Dupras) Sanville
of Harvey and Paul Sanville of Beaver Grove; a grandson,
Alan Swenor of Ishpeming; a half-sister, Shirley Anderson
of Manistique; a half-brother, David Anderson of Manistique;
and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents,
Marion was preceded in death by her former husband, Charles
Sanville; a sister, Sally Danko; and brother, York Adolf
Anderson Jr; also former in-laws, Mose and Lillian Sanville,
and George Danko.
Friends may call at the Fassbender Funeral Home on Tuesday,
March 25, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. A Service of Remembrance
will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday afternoon, in the funeral
home, with Rev. Ben Paris officiating. A reception will
follow in Father Gauthier Hall at St. Louis the King Catholic
Church in Harvey. Inurnment will be made in the Maple Grove
Cemetery in Munising.
