Marquette––– Gregory Jack Ward, age 50, of 1622 Fitch Avenue, Marquette, entered eternal life Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at his home.
Greg was born in Marquette on December 5, 1957, a son of Cecil Jack and Beverly (LaForge) Ward, and was a lifelong Marquette resident. In his youth, he was an active member of the Boy Scouts, attending scout camp each year and attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. Greg was a graduate of the Marquette Senior High School, Class of 1976. He was employed as a maintenance supervisor at the Westwood Mall for over ten years, retiring for health reasons. More than anything, Greg enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, while also enjoying hunting, fishing, and going to camp.
Greg is survived by his sisters, Linda (Guy) Smith and Theresa (John) Stewart; and a brother, David Ward all of Marquette; his nieces and nephews, Amber (Henry) Croschere, Jacob Smith, and Angela Stewart all of Marquette; and numerous close friends. Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Ward.
Friends may call at the Fassbender Funeral Home on Monday, March 10, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm Monday evening with Rev. Msgr. Jed Patrick officiating.
