Marquette––Crystal Pearl Beaudry,
84, of 222 S. Fifth Street, Marquette, entered eternal life
Wednesday morning, March 5, 2008, under the loving care
of her family, Mather Nursing Center, and UP Home Health
and Hospice.
Born June 27, 1923 in Marquette, she was the daughter of
the late Alfred and Maude (Macro) Barshaw. Pearl graduated
in 1941 from Graveraet High School. Following graduation,
she worked for the Packard Motor Car Company in Detroit
prior to returning to Marquette. Pearl married Robert Leo
Beaudry on November 4, 1944 and the couple set about establishing
a home and raising a family. She worked as a bookkeeper
at the former K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base and then as a clerk
with the Michigan State License Bureau and Marquette City
Police Department. When she and Bob bought and operated
Beaudry’s Towne Center Store, she managed that operation
until her retirement. Pearl enjoyed time spent at their
winter home in New Port Richey, Florida, but loved best
her time spent with her children and their families. She
was nothing less than an exceptional mother, sister, grandmother,
great-grandmother, and wife. She enjoyed time knitting,
crocheting, oil painting, walking, and working in her flower
gardens. Lifelong friends were valued highly and she belonged
to a social “club” for over 50 years. Pearl
will be remembered for her present and quick sense of humor
as well as her gentleness and compassion for others.
Pearl is survived by her son, Thomas (Patti) Beaudry, and
two daughters, Sharleen (Greg) Sicotte and Deb (Gary) St.
Onge all of Marquette; her seven grandchildren, Brenda (Sicotte)
Minoia, Rick (Dianne) Sicotte, Russell, Andrew, and Jill
Beaudry, Jarron (Kristi) St. Onge and Justin St. Onge; great-grandchildren,

Nord; brothers, Raymond “Bill” (Cassie) Barshaw
and Alfred “Jr” (Dorothea) Barshaw; brother-in-law,
Wayne Trepanier; a special sister-in-law and friend, Rose
