Marquette–– William Allen
“Bill” Thomas, 46, of 707 Grove Street, Marquette,
entered eternal life Friday morning, November 23, 2007,
shortly after admittance to Marquette General Hospital.
Bill was born February 7, 1961, the son of William Perkins
and Marie Geraldine (Epper) Thomas, and was a lifelong Marquette
resident. He was a 1978 graduate of the Marquette Senior
High School and immediately began a career with several
retail groceries that would last many years. Over the years,
he was employed as a produce manager with the A & P
Grocery, Jack’s IGA, and Super One Foods. From his
boyhood days, he greatly enjoyed being out in nature and
loved to hunt and fish.
Bill is survived by his mother, Marie Thomas of Marquette;
his sister, Kay (Donald) Skarr of Evergreen Park, IL; nieces,
Chauntelle (Kelly) Reardon, Michelle and Danielle Skarr;
and great-nephew, Cheallaigh Patrick Reardon all of Evergreen
Park, IL; an aunt, Lucille Epper of Marquette; several cousins,
including a special cousin, David Collier of Detroit; and
his special canine pals, Roxie and Sweets. Bill was preceded
in death by his father; and several aunts and uncles.
Honoring Bill’s request, no services will be scheduled
at this time. A graveside service will be held in the spring
at Park Cemetery and will be announced.
The Fassbender Funeral Home is serving the family.
