McFarland––Winefred B. “Winnie” Eggleston, 80, of County Road 533, McFarland, entered eternal life Thursday, October 4, 2007, at the Norlite Nursing Center, Marquette, where she had resided since February.
Born February 20, 1927, in McFarland, a daughter of Earl and Elinor “Nellie” (Jacques) Morton, Winefred was a lifelong McFarland area resident. She enjoyed outdoor activities, especially gardening, watching and feeding the birds.
Survivors include five sons, David (Pam) of Arnold, NE, Bruce (Mary) of Escanaba, and Paul (Betty), Mark (Sue), and Brad (friend, Janice Larson) Eggleston all of McFarland; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Winefred was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Eggleston; her daughter, Bonnie Jean Eggleston; sisters, Elinor Johnson and Wilma Saul; brothers, Mark and Edward Morton; and half-brother, Elmer Wheeler.
Honoring Winefred’s request, no services will be scheduled.
