Walt came into the EZ Stop when I worked there. Always a smile on his face. I will remember him fondly.

The only way I knew Walter was seeing him at Norlite visiting his wife. I loved the way it seemed to make her happy when he brought that little black dog and put it on her lap.
Just a couple of days before the accident I was having supper with my mother at Norlite and notice how he helped others with their "cloths protectors" and just took the time to say something to others. After that he sat by her and as they began to eat she put her hand on his arm and just said "love you" and he said "love you too". I never heard her speak before that, it's a loving picture I'll keep in my mind always. We are so sorry for your loss.

Walt and my dad Gordie were good friends. They played hockey together for many years. I always admired their close friendship. As the years went by,Walt became a friend of mine. I ran into Walt about a month ago, and was so happy we had a chance to talk. He was never short in conversation, and a pleasure to chat with. You can be sure,Walt and Gordie are in search of some good ice.

I
met Walt through my job at City Insurance.Walt
was a customer and a friend. I got to know him better recently
when he started taking pictures for us. Myself and all the office
loved his visits with his little dog.
Walt
always had a smile on his face, and was a pleasure to know.
I will miss his visits and his kind manner.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. God Bless.

I
met Walt through the Marquette Senior Men's Hockey League, and
we quickly became friends. We shared many great conversations
at the rink, and afterwards, usually at Vango's. Walt had a
quick wit that frequently attracted verbal shots from his team
mates and opponents alike. Never outdone, Walt gave as good
as he got.
On the ice, Walt played with intensity. We sometimes called
him "The Wallinator". He loved the game. Walt also spent off-ice
time to make sure the program was available for the rest of
us.
Walt was a caring person, and always willing to help others.
He had a great outlook on life. He loved his family. His grandchildren
were at the rink to watch him play one evening. As Walt was
skating with the puck, one of his grandchildren yelled out,
"Go Grandpa, Go". So much for the "Wallinator" image.
Walt,
you will be sadly missed. .

So
very sorry to hear about Walt's passing. We rented a small house
right accross the street from Walt and his wife a number of
years ago in the township and enjoyed chatting with him and
seeing the christmas displays at his house every year! Our thoughts
and prayers go to his wife and family at this very sad time.
