FOND DU LAC––Christian Scott
“Chris” Morrison, 28, of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin,
and former Marquette area resident, entered eternal life
Tuesday, October 30, 2007, in Wisconsin, as the result of
an automobile accident.
Christian was born June 1, 1979, in Marquette, a son of
Carl R. and Joanne E. (Herioux) Morrison, and was raised
in Harvey. He worked for a time at Sears, in their delivery
and installation operations. Chris returned to school and
was a 2000 graduate of the Marquette Senior High School
through their Adult Education Program. In 2003, Chris moved
to Hartford, Wisconsin, where he was currently employed
as a decker with Triton Corporation, manufacturing decks
for utility trailers. Chris was a strong-minded, free spirit,
who marched to the beat of his own drummer. He often abandoned
convention whenever possible. Chris was the kid who, within
minutes of the first day of high school, found himself in
detention. He was also the young man who often assisted
travelers who were stranded along the highway. He was a
caring individual, loving his parents, and instilling the
advice to “stay in school, or else” to his brothers.
He loved life and cared deeply about his family and friends.
Chris’ life and times revolved around BMX bikes, riding
his motorcycle, racing radio controlled cars, mudding and
4-wheeling, snowmobiling, fishing, boating, country music,
and his passion for Chevrolet. He was actively involved
in the Fond du Lac Moose Lodge, where he served as a trustee,
and, as recently as last Saturday, was in charge of the
children’s Halloween party.
Chris (always “Christian” to his mom), is survived
by his parents, Carl and Joanne of Marquette; brothers,
Michael (fiancée, Becky Borg) Morrison and Andrew
Morrison both of Harvey; his fiancée, Stacy Checolinski
of Fond du Lac, WI; her parents, Keith and Debbie Checolinski;
Stacy’s brothers, Joe and Dane Checolinski all of
Iron Ridge, WI; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents,
Charles and Rita Morrison; and maternal grandparents, Conrad
and Florence Herioux.
The family will receive relatives and friends for an informal
time of sharing memories of Chris, at the Fassbender Funeral
Home on Saturday, November 3, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. A Moose
Lodge Memorial Ritual will be held at 6:00 pm. The celebration
of Chris’ life will continue with a reception at Wahlstrom’s
Restaurant in Harvey. Chris will be remembered for the unique
person that he was. He will live on through his family’s
generous gift of organ donation.
