Marquette––Kenneth H. Croschere,
Sr., 57, of 2623 Cherry Street, Marquette, entered eternal
life Monday morning, August 20, 2007, at Marquette General
Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Ken was born in Marquette on February 15, 1950, a son of
Leslie E. and Irene L. (LaBelle) Croschere, Sr., and was
a lifelong resident. On February 14, 1970, he married the
former Debra L. Nadeau at St. Christopher Catholic Church,
and together the couple established their home and raised
their family in Marquette. Ken was employed by the City
of Marquette, Public Works Department, for over 35 years,
and retired December 14, 2005. Ken was a member of St. Christopher
Catholic Church and a member of the former Marquette Moose
Lodge. An avid outdoorsman, Ken enjoyed fishing, hunting,
and a good game of poker.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Debra; his daughter,
Shannon (Ron Robinson) Croschere; his son, Kenneth (Kristi)
Croschere, Jr., of Marquette; four grandchildren, Amber
and Cara Croschere, Brittani Heliin, and Todd Maki; five
sisters, Connie (Ron) Juneman of LasVegas, NV, Donna (John)
Lamirand of Gwinn, Bernice (Fred) Nees, JoAnne (John) Morrin,
and Kathy “Katie” Croschere; and “adopted
sisters”, Donna M. Yetter and Marge Dougherty all
of Marquette; three brothers, John “Jack” Croschere
and Leslie (Regina) Croschere, Jr., both of Marquette, and
Larry (Debbie) Croschere, Sr., of Iron Mountain; his uncle
and aunt, Henry (Lorraine) Croschere of Marquette; aunts,
Betty Croschere and Eunice LaBelle of Marquette, and Ruth
Croschere of Negaunee; his in-laws, Ralph (Pat) Nadeau of
Rock Hill, SC, Ellsworth (Naara) Nadeau of Cyprus, CA, Bev
Schaefer of Marquette, Dennis (Lorraine) Nadeau of Montgomery,
AL, Darryl (Sandy) Nadeau and Diane (Gene) Perket both of
Marquette, and Roger (Sue) Nadeau of Louisville, KY; numerous
nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents,
Ken was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Cheyenne,
Dylan James, and Mackenzie Leigh Croschere; and several
uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Friends may call at St. Christopher Catholic Church on Wednesday,
August 22, beginning at 2:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated at 4:00 pm Wednesday afternoon with Rev.
Jeff Johnson as celebrant. Pallbearers will be Ken Croschere,
Jr., Ron Robinson, Troy Croschere, Larry Holm, Jay Brady,
Mike Bigger, and Kevin Clifford. A reception for family
and friends will follow in the church fellowship hall.
