Harvey––Glen Charles Pillsbury,
65, of 105 Ojibwa Trail, Harvey, entered eternal life Tuesday
afternoon, August 7, 2007, at Marquette General Hospital.
Glen was born November 11, 1941, in Lansing, the son of
Charles and Grace (Shaugen) Pillsbury. He was a graduate
of Michigan Technological University, later working as a
surveyor, and then as a machinist for the Parker-Hanifin
Company. His hobbies and special interests included serving
as a mail carrier for the Sault Tribe, fishing, camping,
hunting, and bowling.
Glen is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia (Loonsfoot)
Pillsbury whom he married May 28, 1965; his son, James (Marty)
Pillsbury of Olney, IL; two grandchildren, Quentin and Tianna
Marie Pillsbury; three sisters-in-law, Philomena Ekdahl
and Agatha (Mike) Cardinal both of Baraga, and Lois Aldred
of Harvey; three brothers-in-law, James (Pat) Loonsfoot
and Gary Loonsfoot both of Baraga, and Kenneth Loonsfoot
of Marquette; several nieces and nephews; and over the years
Glen and Patricia were foster parents to 22 children. Glen
was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Flossie.
A memorial service will be held at St. Peter Cathedral Friday,
August 10, at 12:00 pm with Rev. Frank Ricca officiating.
