MEMORY TRIBUTE

A Memory Tribute to Susan Smedman

I didn't know Susie but knew Mark all thru high school. Was very sorry to hear about this. I have since been back in touch with Mark. It sure is good connecting with old friends, but never good under these circumstances. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. .

Mark and family: I was so sorry to hear about Sue's passing. Although I had not seen her for years, I've always remembered her fondly. As others have said, she was one of the most upbeat, happy people I've known and she will be missed.

Mark, Mary, and Robert- Please know that my heart goes out to you all. Susie was an amazing woman, and always made me smile. I saw her outside by the mailbox just a few months ago. Even though she wasn't feeling well she still took the time to see me. It didn't take long for Sue to make me laugh so hard my stomach hurt. She always had a way of telling stories that were so funny. She will be forever missed, but never forgotten. As my mother put it "Now there is a neighborhood mom up in heaven with Kelsey". I know Susie will keep an eye on Kelsey and the both of them will take good care of each other. If you need anything at all, we are just a block away. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. .

Sue brought laughter, energy and committed effort to her volunteer leadership and service team positions in Girl Scouting in Marquette. Having worked with her on behalf of the girls, I miss her visits our service center, where we always had a laugh together. I will especially miss the look in her eyes - that along with all the fun, she had a purpose in offering something special to her daughter and to all the girls she helped. Our prayers and love to her family.

Sue was a wonderful, wonderful women. She will be greatly missed. I met Sue in a group "Resolve through sharing" when she lost her son Michael. I also grew up with her children in St.Louis and in Father Mqt schools. Everytime you talked to sue, she put a smile on your face and always had a comment to share with you. She was never afraid of what people thought of her. I will never forget the last time I spoke to her at Walmart (her favorite place to shop)! She will be looking down on us from heaven.

I just want to send my condolences to Mark and his family. I met Mark nearly 10 years ago, when he came to Gaylord for a golf weekend. I never met Sue, but from all I have heard and read about her, I wish I would have had that chance. I hope that Sue's family can find the strength to follow in the path that she has lead them in. I will keep you in my prayers.

Dear Mark, Mary, and Robert. My condolences are with you and the family. What a WONDERFUL wife, mother, and "my friend". We just got back in town and I was saddened to see that Sue had passed on. She was so caring to both immediate family and anyone she came in contact with. She will truly be missed!

Oh, Smedley! Did you know you were my hero? We have soooo much in common! I am going to miss you so much. I can still here your voice echoing in the hallways here at school. I miss your leading the 9:00 a.m. Rosary, and Summerfest just won't be as much fun without you to get into trouble with! I know you are in a much better place to watch over us all. No longer in pain. I hope everyone goes to Babycakes and has an almond poppyseed muffin in your honor! Speaking of heaven...(in reference to Fr. Gauthier's closing story a couple of weeks ago) You aren't standing in for St. Peter, are you?!... Love you!
