Marquette––– Jeanne
Marie Miller, beloved wife and mother, 83, of 1212 West
Fair Avenue, Marquette, entered eternal life Thursday morning,
July 26, 2007, in the comforting care of her family and
Lake Superior Hospice.
Born October 8, 1923, in Trout Creek, Michigan, a daughter
of Harold and Gladys (Hickey) Miller, Jeanne was raised
in the Munising area. In 1944 she married Kenneth John Miller
and the couple established their home in the Marquette area,
raising their six children. Jeanne was an amazing wife,
loving mother and a caring friend. She was an active, helpful
and kind member of the Ladies Elks Lodge #405 BPOE. Jeanne
in her spare time treasured time spent with her family,
playing bingo, making jigsaw puzzles, and card games of
all kinds.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Kenneth Miller;
her two daughters, Jan (Robert) Rial, of Lansing, MI, and
Kim (Paul) Koenig, of Marquette; her four sons, Mike (Mary)
Miller, of Marquette, Pat Miller, of Marquette, Ken Miller,
Jr., of Escanaba, and Tim (Lisa) Miller, of Marquette; two
sisters, Sally Bergau, of Lansing, MI, and Lois (Clyde)
Springer, of Schoolcraft, MI; thirteen grandchildren; ten
great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Pat; and her
brother, Ken.
Friends may call at the Fassbender Funeral Home from 2:00
pm until 5:00 pm on Monday, July 30, 2007. Funeral services
will be held at 5:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Frank
Ricca officiating. Immediately following a luncheon will
be held at the Marquette Elks Lodge. Burial will be in Holy
Cross Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special
thanks to Dr. Quasem, Dr. Scholnik and to Lake Superior
Hospice for the loving care given to our beloved wife and
mother.
