Marquette––Daniel William Morris, 51, of 239 W. Bluff Street, Marquette, entered eternal life Sunday, July 1, 2007, at his home.
Dan was born September 26, 1955, in Mishawaka, Indiana, the son of John Russell and Evelyn (Sievers) Morris, and moved to Marquette while still an infant. A graduate of the Marquette Senior High School, through the Adult Education Program, Dan was formerly employed as a lunch superintendent with the Marquette Public Schools, working at the various school sites.
Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Morris, with whom he made his home; his sister, Irene Morris of Marquette, and her children, Jenny (John) Shaub and Emily (Rhyan) Lindley of Wisconsin; a nephew, Don (Hailey) Williams of Ishpeming; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, John Russell Morris; and his sister, Jean M. Cooper, on June 15, 2007.
A memorial gathering will be held at 3006 Lakeshore Boulevard, Marquette, on Thursday, July 5, at 4:00 pm.
