Two Rivers, WI––Antoinette
Marie Brugman, 88, of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, and former
Marquette resident, entered eternal life early Thursday
morning, March 1, 2007, at the Holy Family Memorial Medical
Center in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, following a long illness.
She was born May 12, 1918, in Marquette, a daughter of Chester
and Martha Miller Stanley. She attended schools in Marquette
and was a 1936 graduate of the Graveraet High School. On
October 17, 1936, she married Francis Brugman in Marquette.
Antoinette was employed by the State of Michigan, Department
of Social Services, and worked as a houseparent at the Boys
Vocational School in Lansing, retiring in 1965. After her
retirement, she worked with the grandparents program with
the school district in Belding.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and
Gerri Brugman of Two Rivers, WI; her grandson, Matthew (Kathy)
Brugman of Green Bay, WI; two great-granddaughters, Kristin
and Jenna Schnell. She is further survived by a sister-in-law,
Ann Stanley of Marquette; several nieces, nephews, other
relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, Antoinette
was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Brugman on
August 12, 1992; a grandson, Peter; and a brother, George
Stanley.
Friends may call at the Fassbender Funeral Home on Monday,
March 5, beginning at 5:00 pm. Visitation will conclude
Monday evening with the recitation of the rosary at 7:00
pm. Burial will be made in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
