Sands Township–– James E. Lafond, 79, of 132 Taylor Road, Sands Township, entered eternal life Thursday evening, January 25, 2007, at D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans, where he had been a resident for the past two years.
James was born February 19, 1927, in Westfield, MA a son of Albert and Jean (Paquin) Lafond. Survivors include: his two daughters, Sharon (Roger) Sirois, of Gwinn and Donna (Norman) Pronovost, of Connecticut; one son, James (Penny) Lafond, of Georgia; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring the family’s wishes no services will be held. Burial will take place in Bay Pines National Cemetery, St. Petersburg, FL. .
