National Mine––James Roger
Beaudry, Sr., 64, of 785 County Road PAE, Tilden Township,
entered eternal life December 16, 2006 at his home.
James was born March 6, 1942 in Nahma, a son of Thomas and
Natalie (Gittel) Beaudry, Sr., and resided in Nahma until
the age of ten when the family moved to Marquette. Following
graduation from the Graveraet High School, James entered
the US Marine Corps, serving in California for six years.
He then was employed with Bethlehem Steel in Hacienda Heights,
California, as a diesel mechanic for 20 years. When Bethlehem
Steel moved its operations, James went to work with Chevron
in California, also owning and operating three heavy equipment
repair shops. Additionally, from 1985 to 1990, James and
his son, John, operated a trucking company in Ventura, California.
James retired in 1990 and moved back to Marquette where
he owned and operated Mobile Mechanic in Marquette Township
for 12 years. In his leisure, James enjoyed mechanics, fishing,
and going to camp.
Survivors include his former wife, Veronica Beaudry of Bullhead
City, AZ; three sons, James (Loretta) Beaudry Jr and John
Beaudry both of Bullhead City, AZ, and Joseph Beaudry residing
in California; two grandchildren, Stacey and Christopher
Beaudry of Bullhead City, AZ; his mother, Natalie Beaudry
of Marquette; five sisters, Darlene (Ken) DePetro, Roseann
(Dennis) Keller, and Judy DePetro all of Marquette, Patty
(Robert) Johnson of Negaunee, and Elaine (Al) Tucker of
Crystal Falls; a brother, Randy (Molly) Beaudry of Marquette;
numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
James was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Beaudry
Sr; two sisters, Arlene Beaudry and Lorraine Hanson; and
four brothers, Thomas Jr, Alex, Clayton, and Richard Beaudry;
Private family services will be held.
The Fassbender Funeral Home is serving the family.
