MARQUETTE - Margaret A. "Peg" Perrin,
98, of 902 Garfield Avenue, Marquette, entered eternal life
Friday morning, September 8, 2006, in the Hospice Suite located
at Marquette General Hospital; in the loving and comforting
care of her family and the caregivers of Lake Superior Hospice.
Peg was born November 2, 1907 in Negaunee, a daughter of Peter
and Margaret (Pastore) Bogetto, and had been a resident of
Marquette since 1932. A graduate of the Negaunee High School
and the Oak Park School of Nursing in Oak Park, Illinois,
Peg was employed 20 years as a registered nurse in the Pediatrics
Department at the former St. Luke's Hospital. She retired
in 1970.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret (Kenneth) Elhart
of Holland; a son, Leonard "Joe" (Loretta) Perrin
Jr of West Allis, WI; her grandchildren, Michael (Helen) Redman,
Scott (Kimberly) Redman, Cindy Perrin, Lori (Curt) Swajanen,
Susan Perrin, Jennifer Perrin (Geof White), Wayne (Kathy)
Elhart, and Jeff (Sherie) Elhart; great-grandchildren, Jasmine,
Mariah, Colin, and Sean Redman, Jason and Luke Swajanen, Jack
and Sam Perrin, Jake and Ben Elhart; a brother, Rev. Clarence
Bogetto CM of Perryville, MO; special friends and caregivers,
Kimber Hansen and Sr. Jeanne Rene Mercier; several nieces
and nephews. In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded
in death by her husband, Leonard Perrin Sr in 1996; a son
and daughter-in-law, Donald "Ducky" and Geraldine
Perrin; her sisters, Mary Castello and Bena Cahill; and brothers,
Peter and Dominic Bogetto.
Friends may call at the Bishop's Room at St. Peter Cathedral
on Monday, September 11, beginning at 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian
Burial will follow at 11:00 am Monday morning in the cathedral
with Rev. Francis Ricca, as celebrant. A reception for family
and friends will follow in Cathedral Hall. Entombment will
be made in the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be
directed to the Lake Superior Hospice Association, 326 N.
Front Street, Marquette, MI 49855. The Fassbender Funeral
Home is serving the family.
