MEMORY TRIBUTE

A Memory Tribute to Claude E. Lauscher

I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Claude. I remember him well growing up, being around the fields and just plain being there for all the kids in the neighborhood. I always remember Claude telling us in band to keep playing, that way if we ever got drafted we could play in the band rather than march in the fields. To Betty, Janet, Jay and Kerry (and families) I wish you all my deepest sympathies and know that you will find a time in the not to distant future when you can look back with a little smile on your face recalling all the good times. God bless you all.

I am very proud to have played on the Shiras Hills Baseball Team and more importantly to have played for Coach Lauscher. Besides being taught baseball skills he also taught us very important life skills. I hope everyone has the opportunity to have someone like Coach be a part of their life in some way. I'd like to think that I am a better person today because of the influence he had on my life. I will be forever grateful. To Mrs. Coach, Janet, Jay, Kerry, and your families, you have my deepest sympathy.
