A Memory Tribute to L. Robert Boyer

I just want to express my symphony to you Donna and family in the passing of Bob. I rented one of the apartments on W. Jefferson in the early 1980. I remember the delicious treats you brought around each Christmas time to the apartment(s) (and looked forward to them too!). Thank you.

To Donna and family: I am so sorry to hear that Bob passed away. I will never forget how nice he was to my dad. (Wally Wirkula) I remember how he loved walking around the neighborhood with his grandchildren and how he always stopped to talk. My prayers are with you.

Bob was a kind and wonderful man who did good for others - Gary always thought very highly of him as a cousin and as a person. We send our condolences and will keep his memory and his family in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless!

Dear Donna & Children,

Cannot begin to tell you how supprised and sorry Rita and I were to learn of Bob's death. Bob was a good friend and a class behind me at Baraga, so we knew each other well. As a matter of fact we, along with Sonny Marlowe and Jake Brady, were "Sweapers" at the old Palestra. During WWII we would sweep the ice after general skating, at about 10:30 PM, and then put our skates back on and play hockey until about mid-night four or five nights a week. Rita also reminisces from time to time about the great times you all had at Michigan Mutual.

Donna, we will keep all of you in our prayers during this most difficult time.

Love,

Jack & Rita Miller
