Kenlyn and Family:
We are so very sorry to hear of your loss. Although the office didn't get to know Scott very well, Dr. Jim was very fond of Scott and talked very highly of him. Memories build a special bridge when loved ones have to part, to help us feel we're with them still and soothe a grieving heart.

Kenlyn,
Although I only knew Scott for a few years I am proud to say he was my friend. When we would sit and talk in his office or mine it was great to have another guy who was experiencing some of the same things I was to bounce ideas and opinions off from. I know everyone thought we were always talking business strategy but the truth is we were usually bragging to each other about how great our wives and kids were and especially about teaching our boys to hunt, fish, and go to camp. I loved the story about he and Charlie tracking the deer last year. If those boys ever need someone to take them hunting you know where to find me.
God bless all of you,

Scott created a lot of hi-jinks that we will miss. My particular memory is from my Michigan Tech days, when on this particular day, I had spent the full day at school, walked back to my junker of a car in the commuter parking lot and threw my book bag into the car without starting the car. Something looked awry. I finally got out of the car, walked completely around the car, inspecting and then got back in. Something was still wrong. I decided to get back out and re-inspect the car, and after going ? of the way around the car, I got to the back of the car, got on my hands and knees, and looked underneath. Guess what I saw? Under the u-joint of the car was a cinder block turned lengthwise, raising the car just enough to raise the rear wheels of my Plymouth Valiant about a quarter inch! Someone had jacked my car up, put a cinder block underneath and left expecting me to start the car and spin without moving! I looked around feverishly, thinking who would want to do this to me. There, over on the far end of the parking lot, was a black Chevy pickup, with two guys hunkered down, just so I could barely see them. Scott and his friend Dave Boyle were enjoying watching me trying to figure it all out. Of course Scott and Dave drove up, and wondered what they could do to help! Scott provided many laughs at Da Tech. I don’t recall if the guys helped me find a jack to remove the cinder block, but that is one fond memory I savor to this day.

The employees here at Scooters, regardless of how long we were blessed to be in Scott's presence, became aware of what a remarkable man Scott was. He was an amazing soul and showed us the difference between right and wrong. He was always an understanding individual, wether he was being our boss or a friend. We all found comfort in him as a friend, and no matter the situation he kept us going and would not let us give up. He was a fighter, someone that would put his foot down when he had to, and yet a charming smile to see when at work with him. Some of us became closer with Scott over time, and even the employee's that haven't been here all that long still miss Scott. He will always remain in our hearts, not just as our boss but also a dear friend.

I went to school with Scott. We shared a a lot of common interests including a love for Grand Marais. I'll miss him. He always took good care of me at Scooters while we caught up on all the gossip of Grand Marais and talked of the old days at Marquette Senior High. God Bless you Scott....I'm sure you're at peace now and the trails are always groomed.

We are proud to say we were lucky to have Scott as a teammate and friend on our undefeated 1975 Marquette High Football team.We all had a great time at the gathering after the football game for our 30th reunion and also at Don DesJardins house later that night. We'll dearly miss him. The other memory I have of Hubba is at Jim Marana's wedding in Flint many years ago.A great time was had by all, and Scott created alot of the fun.Memories and great times that we will never forget.
