OBITUARIES

Scott Hubbard
Resided in Marquette, MI
Died March 5, 2006

Scott Hubbard of 121 Wintergreen Trail, Marquette, died unexpectedly at Marquette General Hospital on Sunday evening, March 5, 2006. Scott and his wife, Kenlyn (Sturdy) were the owners of Scooters Motorsports here in Marquette. He has three sons, Charlie, aged 12, Kenny, aged 10, and Michael, aged 7.

Scott was born July 24, 1958 at Marquette General Hospital and graduated from the Marquette Senior High School in 1976. He graduated from Michigan Tech in June 1985, and married Kenlyn later that summer on August 31, 1985. He was a civil engineer, specializing in bridges, building up and down the Eastern Seaboard for Peter Kiewit and Sons for 13 years. Kenlyn, also an MTU graduate and civil engineer, worked at his side, as always. In 1998 Scott and Kenlyn moved back to Marquette because they so loved and missed the Upper Peninsula. His greatest joy was spending time at his camp on the Hurricane River surrounded by his family and friends.

Besides his immediate family, Scott leaves behind his parents, John and Barbara Hubbard of Marquette

Sister: Dee Hubbard of Marquette

Brother: Jack (Aleta) Hubbard of Grand Marais

Sister: Jamie (Rod) Mick of Newport Richey, Fl.

Also surviving are nieces, Katherine, Kristie, and Lilli Khatibi, and Sara Hubbard; nephews, Logger and Luke Hubbard. Our hearts are broken.

Friends may call at the Grace United Methodist Church, 927 W. Fair Avenue, Marquette, on Friday, March 10, beginning at 5:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm Friday evening with lifelong friend, Rev. John Grenfell and Rev. Charles West, officiating.
