Irene Elizabeth Garrow, 83, of 2332 Cherry Street, Marquette, entered eternal life early Thursday morning, March 2, 2006, at her home.

Irene was born May 20, 1922 in Marquette, a daughter of Addelor and Nora (Anderson) Gravelle.  Raised in Trowbridge Park, she was a graduate of the Graveraet High School.  On January 26, 1946, Irene married William Robert Garrow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marquette.  Together, the couple established their home and raised their family in Marquette.   Throughout the years, Irene was employed at the former Our Own Bakery (Bunny Bread) and various other jobs, as well as being a homemaker.  In her leisure, she enjoyed cake decorating, knitting, and camping.  Irene was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 60 years, William

Four sons: Robert Garrow of Iron Mountain; Leonard (Charlotte) Garrow of McFarland; James (Kim) Garrow and Samuel (Robin) Garrow both of Marquette

Grandchildren: Robert (Theresa) Garrow, Roger (Marge) Garrow, Michael Garrow, Lori (Greg) Ledgerwood, Kurt (Crystal) Garrow, Rebecca Garrow, Sonnie (Todd) Gobert, and Jeanne (Dana) Langsford

Twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte Quayle and religious Sr. Madonna (Sidney) Gravelle; and a brother, Gus Gravelle.

Friends may call at the Fassbender Funeral Home on Sunday, March 5, beginning at 1:00 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm Sunday afternoon with Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating.  Burial will be made in the Northland Chapel Gardens.
