Gertrude A. Amtmann, 80, former Gwinn area resident, entered eternal life Thursday afternoon, March 30, 2006, at the Norlite Nursing Center, where she had resided since February.

Born April 20, 1925 in Jersey City, New Jersey, a daughter of William C. and Gertrude (Woebke) Conrad, Gertrude was raised in New Jersey.  In 1965, she and husband, Raymond J. Amtmann, moved to Brookfield, Wisconsin.  He preceded her in death in 1999 and in March of 2005, Gertrude moved to the Gwinn area.

A loving mother and devoted grandmother, she is survived by a daughter, Susan G. Glass of Grafton, WI; two sons, Raymond A. (Mary) Amtmann of Marquette and Robert W. Amtmann of Senoia, GA; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

No services will be scheduled at this time.
