Frank L. Matt, 60, of 316 Pine Street, Marquette, entered eternal life Monday afternoon, September 5, 2005, at Marquette General Hospital, shortly after admittance.

Born February 15, 1945 in Marquette, the son of Leonard and Olga (Maki) Matt, Frank was a lifelong Marquette resident. He was a 1963 graduate of the Graveraet High School and then attended Northern Michigan University for two years. Soon after, he purchased the Casino Bar which he operated until the early 1980’s when that operation closed. At the same time, Frank also owned and managed rental properties in the Marquette and Big Bay areas. Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing, and in his younger years was known to be quite a good dancer, preferring polkas.

A nephew, Tony Pace of Apple Valley, MN

Two aunts, Arlene (Ed “Brian”) Hillier of Marquette and Joan Lee of Fresno, CA

Several cousins.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends at the Fassbender Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8, beginning at 5:00 pm. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 7:00 pm Thursday evening with Rev. Paul Weber officiating. Burial will be made in the Park Cemetery.
