Edwin L. “Ed” Carlstrom, Sr., 50, of 489 Invader, Gwinn, passed away at home in the comforting care of his family on Thursday, August 18, 2005. He had been battling with cancer since October.
Ed was born September 11, 1954 in Marquette, a son of Wilbert G. and Dolores Elaine (Kiltinen) Carlstrom, and was a lifelong Marquette area resident. He was employed with N & N Trucking as a driver for over ten years, leaving due to illness. Ed liked to fish and hunt.

His wife of 26 years, Debbie (Berry) Carlstrom
His son, Edwin (Lisa) Carlstrom Jr of Gwinn
His granddaughter, Mariah Carlstrom and another soon-to-be expected grandchild;
His sisters, Bonnie (Tom) O’Neill of Marquette; Donna “Cookie” (Jim) Grady of the Halfway Location; Linda (Charles) Cain of Crystal Falls; Sarah (Dennis) Swain of Tennessee; and Joyce (Dale) Kantola of Negaunee
Brothers, Joe (Charmon) Ellis and Willey Carlstrom both of Marquette
Special friend and brother-in-law, Gary Berry Sr
Brother-in-law, Mike Berry of Marquette
Mother-in-law, Patricia Berry of Marquette
Father-in-law, Ed Berry of Big Bay.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents.
Honoring Ed’s request, no funeral service will be held. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Carlstrom home, 489 Invader, on Saturday, August 27, at 2:00 pm.
The family wishes to thank Linda Lake and Julie Ann Wagner, Lake Superior Hospice, Dr. Heichel and staff, and the oncology staff at Marquette General Hospital for the many kindnesses extended to Ed and family during his illness.
