Mary Lou Temple, 70, of Big Bay, entered eternal life Monday evening, June 13, 2005, at Marquette General Hospital.
Born January 7, 1935 in Beloit, Wisconsin, a daughter of Wilfred Albert and Florence Elva (Bowman) Redman, Mary Lou was raised in Marquette and was a 1953 graduate of the Graveraet High School. Following graduation, she worked for a time as a telephone operator at Michigan Bell Telephone. On September 21, 1956 she married Charles “Bud” Temple and the couple began to establish their home and raise a family in Big Bay, later relocating to Marquette. With a house full of boys, Mary Lou devoted herself to being a “hockey mom” and traveled to wherever her sons were playing. She was not only their most devoted and loyal fan, but also, from time to time when needed, their coach. Once the children were older, Mary Lou returned to the workforce and was employed as a secretary in the medical office of Dr. Barbara Lyons and later as an office manager with OB-GYN Associates. In her spare time, Mary Lou enjoyed playing cribbage, flower gardening, and watching and feeding the birds that frequented her yard.
Mary Lou is survived by her:
Sons- John (Kelly) Temple of Kenai, AK, Thomas (Jean) Temple of Big Bay, and Chuck Temple (Fiancée, Cassie Richard) of Tiverton, RI
