Theresa F. Trotochaud, 72, of 1942 Orchard Street, Marquette, entered eternal life early Tuesday morning, April 5, 2005, at her home, in the comforting care of her family.
Born March 23, 1933 in Marquette, a daughter of Clifford and Florence (Durand) Holm, Theresa was raised on the orphanage farm and had been a member of the work force since age 13. She was a 1951 graduate of the Graveraet High School and remained a lifelong Marquette resident. Theresa was employed for over 38 years with the former Red Owl Grocery Store, managing many of the store’s departments throughout the years. Known as the “Cookie Lady”, “Mrs. T”, or just “Tee”, she was always helpful and well liked. Her hobbies included working crossword puzzles, canning, baking, fishing, camping, deer hunting, and especially feeding and caring for the critters at Terri and Jim’s place. Theresa was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and the Gold Star Mothers.
Survivors include her husband, Pete Trotochaud, Sr; daughter, Terri Ann Trotochaud and special son-in-law, Jim Perron of Marquette; a grandson, P.J. Trotochaud; a sister, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by brothers, Wilbur, Alfred, and David Holm.
Friends may call at the Fassbender Funeral Home on Saturday, April 9, beginning at 4:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 7:00 pm Saturday evening with Rev. Alex K. Sample officiating. Burial will be made in the Northland Chapel Gardens.
