Daryl William Weiger, 55, of N-7033 Perry Road, AuTrain, entered eternal life Tuesday morning, January 18, 2005, at Marquette General Hospital, where he had been admitted the previous evening.

Daryl was born May 21, 1949 in Marquette, a son of Orville and Agnes (Baumgartner) Weiger and was a lifelong Marquette area resident.  Daryl was employed by Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company where he worked at the Tilden Mine for 33 years before retiring in 2001.   Daryl loved spending time with family and friends at the cottage on AuTrain Lake and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He also enjoyed camping, splitting wood, singing and playing the guitar with family and friends.  Daryl most of all enjoyed spending time with his loving grandchildren.

A loving father, grandparent, and brother, he is survived by two daughters, Kimberly (James) Fournier of Menominee and Amber (Kim) Bertram of Marquette; one son, Jeremy (Teri) Weiger of Faribault, MN; three sisters, Lula (Jack) Sarka, Patricia (Skip) LeMire, and Lorna (Charles) Billings all of Marquette; four grandchildren, Faith Ann Carter and Jeremy Daryl Weiger, Jr., both of Faribault, MN, Madelyn Rene` Fournier of Menominee and Dylan Lee Bertram of Marquette; his girlfriend, Connie LaBelle of Marquette; previous wife, Lorilee Weiger of Marquette; several nieces and nephews.  Daryl was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at the Fassbender Funeral Home on Thursday, January 20, beginning at 3:00 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 5:00 pm Thursday afternoon in the funeral home with Rev. Ben Paris pastor of St. Louis the King Catholic Church, Harvey officiating.
