Tina Marie Marshall, 40, of 117 Riverland Drive, Harvey, entered eternal life Tuesday evening, January 18, 2005, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming, following a lengthy illness. She had resided at the facility since January 2002.
Born October 24, 1964 in Petoskey, a daughter of Al and Lois (Eversen) Marshall, Tina was raised in Moran until moving to the Marquette area in 1974. She was a 1982 graduate of the Marquette Senior High School and later attended Suomi College in Hancock (now Finlandia University), receiving an associate degree in travel administration. She was employed at Cook Sign Company for a year before accepting a clerical position with Simmons Airlines. Soon after, at age 18, Tina was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Prior to her illness, Tina enjoyed a variety of handicrafts, including ceramics and needlepoint. She was also known for her baking skills. Tina was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Harvey and the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
A loving daughter, sister, and aunt, she is survived by her parents, Al and Lois Marshall of Harvey; her sisters, Brenda Brey of Marquette and Beverly (Vern) Sneed of Tampa, FL; a brother, Scott Marshall of Gwinn; a niece, Nicole Brey; and nephew, Ryan Marshall. Tina was preceded in death by a nephew, Robert Brey.
Friends may call at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Harvey on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and one hour prior to services on Friday. Funeral services will be held at the church on Friday afternoon, January 21, at 1:00 pm with Rev. Chrysande Levesque, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the Park Cemetery. Escorts will be Jim and Peter Everson, Jeff Marshall, Jack, Fred, and Mike Robinson.
