Verna P. Willig 86, of 222 South Fifth Street, Marquette, and former Calumet resident, entered eternal life, Saturday morning October 9, 2004, at the Keweenaw Memorial Hospital in Calumet.

Born May 9, 1918 in Calumet, a daughter of Joseph and Mary (Arietta) Ozzello, Verna was a member of St. Peter Cathedral, Marquette.  She is survived by her five sisters, Berenice ( Raymond) Kastelic, Lake Wales, FL, Antoinette (John) Wolfe, Calumet, Claire (David) Rom, Marquette, Ruth Ann Kreier, Cudahy, WI, Marie (John) Massi, Calumet, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Verna was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.  Honoring Verna’s wishes, private family services will be held.  Inurnment will be made in the Lakeview Cemetery in Calumet.
